We compete in the National Club Baseball Association. We are in the Northern Pacific - West NCBA DI conference, which consists of us, Western Washington University, Oregon State University, University of Oregon, and Gonzaga University
What's the time commitment like?
The time commitment is really up to you. You will get more playing time if you show up more often, but attendance is not mandatory. Show up to as much as you can make time for and is enjoyable, even if its just a few practices!
How do I join Dub Club?
If you are interested in joining Dub Club, please fill out our interest form (found at the bottom of each page) and attend tryouts. Contact us if you have any concerns about being able to attend tryouts?
Do I have to pay to play?
There are dues at the start of the year to help pay for equipment, fields, umpires, and lodging when traveling. These are announced once roster size is finalized. The fee is usually about $600 per player. Note that this fee is an estimate and does not include the cost of playoffs. These dues are for game rostered players only. Practices are free!
Does Dub Club travel?
We will travel to play other teams in our league in the spring and fall. Drivers are always needed and will be compensated for gas. We travel around the Northwest and have had opportunities to travel all over the country for regionals and for the NCBA DII World Series.
Do we play in Husky Ballpark?
No, we play at local Seattle fields, most commonly Lower Woodlands Ballfield #1
How many people make the team?
Our roster is about 25 players. If you do not make the initial roster, please still attend practices, as a few people on the roster leave the team every year and we need to fill their absences. We are also looking to add a B team that will practice once a week and have a few scrimmages/games. Fees would be prorated for this team.
How are the games played?
Games are played in a series format. One team will travel to the other team's city for a weekend and will play 3 games, 2 7-inning and 1 9-inning. The two 7-inning games will be played on the same day and the 9-inning game will be played on the other (e.g. doubleheader Saturday and 9-inning Sunday). For traveling, we usually leave early on Saturday morning and return late evening on Sunday.
